I received an Art Matters grant in 2012 for my work on a long term, large scale project, The Brooklyn Torch. Receiving the grant was a great honor and I am still proud to be among Art Matters grantees. This year, the archive of grantees’ materials and process will be available to the public.
The Art Matters 2007–2019 Artist Files will be made available to the public for the first time this summer.
Encompassing project proposals, process documentation, artworks, reports, and ephemera, the collection represents the work of over 380 artists who have received an Art Matters grant.
From June 1—October 1, 2026, visitors will be able to access the archives in person at the Visual AIDS office in Chelsea (NYC).

Preview event at the archive at Visual AIDS will be on April 21, 2026. I will be unable to attend, but if you are interested to see the collection, please RSVP here.
