Just in time for introspection and gratitude harve Just in time for introspection and gratitude harvesting, I finished this labyrinth! A long time in the making, it’s ready for post-meal, pre-coffee, nighttime wandering!

Last summer I made a series of rainwater drawings by setting up outside with a raincoat for me and a paintbrush for the rainstorm. These drawings are evidence of a conversation between graphite, water and paper. I was reading a lot about geomancy and became inspired by my access to summer rainstorms in Chicago.

Dublin Castle, Dublin Ireland Back in the summer Dublin Castle, Dublin Ireland

Back in the summer of 2001, I worked in Dublin in a cafe. I also applied and got into a show at Dublin Castle. The project was a fiber-based installation. I braided blue yarn and installed it on the sidewalk on site. The braided yarn traced and made visible the line of the subterranean river which created the Dubh Linn for which the city is named. The day before the opening on September 12th, the world changed. I haven’t been back to this city or country. Strange familiarity here.
